Methodology
B-to-b media companies were invited to submit their sites through notifications in the magazine, e-newsletters and direct email requests.

The sites were chosen based on a rigorous selection process conducted by the editors, which included vetting the publishers’ descriptions of the sites, gathering key metrics, and visits to the sites to review content quality, graphics and video capabilities, the amount of user-generated content, and basic functionality, such as navigation and search. The final 10 Great Media Websites are those deemed to be the best among all the entrants in each category, which include technology site, trade site (non-tech), general business site, paid subscription site, launch, relaunch, portal, video/multimedia, mobile-b-to-b media and mobile-general business.
