The application process of the exam started from Friday, June 1, 2012. Now that one week of the registration process is over, there are few days left for the registration process. The last date to apply for the GCET 2012 exam is Monday, June 11, 2012.

Application process

You have to buy the GCET 2012 bulletin from selected Punjab National Bank branches and submit the application online. The application fee is Rs. 1000. Once your application is submitted, you will have to submit documents and confirmation of registration at the help centers. The last date to complete the application process is Monday, June 11, 2012 at 6 pm.

Exam Dates

GCET 2012 is a computer based exam which will be held in two phases. The first phase is from Thursday, June 14, 2012 to Saturday, June 16, 2012. The second phase will be held from Monday, June 18, 2012 to Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

The exam will be conducted in three slots every day and you will get your scores at the end of the exam. First batch will start at 9.00 am, second batch at 1.00 pm and third at 5.00 pm. So, candidates are required to report at 8:00 am for Batch-1, 12:00 noon for Batch-2 and 4:00 pm for Batch-3.

Exam Pattern

GCET will be a computer based exam. The duration of the exam is 80 minutes. The candidates will be tested on the basis of four sections, English language skills, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Reasoning and General Knowledge. There will be 100 questions in the exam.
Each correct question will have four marks and there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. The candidates will get the scores at the end of the test.

B-schools accepting GCET 2012 scores

The scores of GCET 2012 will be accepted by 132 B-schools in Gujarat. Some of the institutes include Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management, Bhavnagar University; Center for Management Studies, Dharmsinh Desai University; Department of Commerce and Management K.S.K.V.Kachchh University; B.K.School of Business Management, Gujarat University; Dr. .D.Y.Patil Institute of Management to name a few.

GCET 2012 Mock Test

In order to be familiar with the pattern of the computer based exam, you can take the mock test offered by Gujarat Technological University. You can understand the look and feel of the exam and get used to the feel of taking the test. But according the Gujarat Technological University, the mock test is just meant to give the candidates a feel of the exam and they should not take it as an indicator of the difficulty level or question types you can expect.
