Suncoast Rehabilitation Center, a Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation facility, sponsors more Friends of Narconon Drug Education Kits for local schools.
Online PR News – 11-June-2012 – Spring Hill, FL – Suncoast Rehabilitation Center (http://www.suncoastrehabcenter.com/), a Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation facility, has increased its efforts to educate young people on the dangers of drugs this month by sponsoring more Friends of Narconon Drug Education kits.
Friends of Narconon, Changing Minds - Saving Lives, have prepared a Truth About Drugs DVD series that includes an Educator’s Guide for teachers. The kit contains a booklet of lesson plans and four DVD about drugs. The Drug Education program is designed to provide young people with the true and correct educational materials about drugs so that they can make-up their own mind to stay away from them.
Narconon (http://www.narcononeastus.org) has developed one of the most powerful drug education programs that have proven it gets results time and again. The Friends of Narconon produce this education in kits for schools and seek sponsorships that enable them to send these materials to schools and institutions across the country.
Polls taken of students after they have seen the Truth About Drug DVDs show that they learn things about drugs they didn’t previously know. Students say the DVD’s reinforced their desire not to do drugs and in many cases students say they will not now do drugs and they have information to help their friends not do drugs.
Suncoast Rehabilitation Center is sponsoring this program for schools in their local area. “Daily, we treat addicts who had no idea what they were getting into when they started drinking alcohol or taking drugs. They thought it was ‘cool’, or would make them ‘cool’ or it would help them “feel better.’ The misinformation circulating about drugs is astounding,” says Tammy Strickling, Narconon Suncoast Rehabilitation Center Executive Director. “We like to tackle the substance abuse problem from both sides. On one side, we want to help educate young people on the truth about drugs so they never start using and on the other side, help those who are addicted so they can recover and lead productive drug-free lives.”
