Online PR News – 11-June-2012 – Ann Arbor, MI – SimaFore was selected as one of the winners from a group of ten other up-and-coming companies for the 1M/1M Entrepreneurship program. 1M/1M aims to help a million startups achieve $1M in revenue by 2020 through business plan coaching, networking, helping to build partnerships with channel partners, key customers, and potentially Silicon Valley investors. Its methodology is heavily rooted in the philosophy of bootstrapping and crisp positioning. (Program details are at http://www.sramanamitra.com)
SimaFore's mission is to democratize advanced analytics by making it accessible via on demand targeted learning modules and affordable customizable apps. IBM recently noted that the key challenges in analytics today are
1. Lack of skills among key analytics producers
2. Lack of understanding of how to use analytics among strategic analytics consumers
SimaFore plans to offer learning modules that aim to address the skills issue and custom built apps to address the consumption issue. These apps will be available as SaaS and will be cloud based. The current user base of analytics producers is less than 50,000 today and a McKinsey study projects the demand for deeply skilled analytics producers to touch 200,000 over the next few years. More than 90% of all companies in the US employ less than 5 people and much of these companies will form the core demographic of analytics consumers in the future.
SimaFore will leverage its partnerships with open source data mining software maker, Rapid-I and crowd sourcing platform, CrowdANALYTIX to make analytics accessible to every business from the smallest SMEs and up. Read more at http://www.simafore.com/analyticsnews.
