Online PR News – 09-June-2012 – Beijing, China – Fengtao Software Inc., the leading multimedia software company majors in DVD, Blu-ray copy and video converter, released another minor update, DVDFab 8.1.8.7 Qt Beta of its all-in-one shareware package, for Windows operating system again. This beta version mainly improved HD audio options when copying Blu-ray movies with its Blu-ray Copy software. Here is the news in detail.

DVDFab 8.1.8.7 Qt Beta released on June 5
Fengtao Software, on June 5, released this updated beta version of all-in-one software package for multimedia solutions, for Windows operating system again. In DVDFab 8.1.8.7 Qt Beta, developers mainly improved HD audio options when backing up Blu-ray movies with Blu-ray Copy software. Along with that, there were also some other fixes and improvements.
In Blu-ray Copy section, developers fixed three issues to enable more audio options when copying Blu-ray movies: a freeze problem when copying Blu-ray disc to BD50 with “Remove HD audio” enabled, another freeze problem when copying Blu-ray disc to BD9/BD5 with “Convert DTS audio to AC3” enabled and, a 1010 error when copying Blu-ray disc to Blu-ray SBS 3D in certain cases. In Blu-ray Ripper software, a freeze problem when converting Blu-ray to M2TS file in certain cases was kicked out. In Blu-ray Creator option, they eliminated a freeze problem appeared at the beginning of the conversion process. Besides these fixes, a new feature was added to let the program insert forced subtitle information into dvdfab_internal.log when converting Blu-ray disc. Reasons why remove or downgrade HD and DTS audios in certain cases
As stated in above fixes, DVDFab Blu-ray Copy offers additional options to remove HD (Master) audios or downgrade DTS audios into AC 3 audios in certain cases. Customers may be curious why? Here is the authentic explanation from DVDFab Service Team: when people’s home theaters are not HD audio capable or they simply do not need HD (Master) audios when backing up Blu-ray’s, they can remove the HD audio to save much space on the blank disc and at the same time shorten the copying time. The reason for converting DTS audios to AC 3 audios while burning Blu-ray movie to BD 9 or BD 5 is similar: HD (Master) or DTS audios in Blu-ray discs always have very big sizes, in order to save the limited space on blank BD 9 and BD 5 discs (actually blank DVD 9 and 5 discs), developers add this option so that those people who want to save expenditures on blank Blu-ray discs can have more options to back up their Blu-ray movies. The copied Blu-ray movies on blank DVD 9 and DVD 5 discs are still in Blu-ray format, and can be played only on home Blu-ray players. The quality is far more excellent than regular DVDs and next only to the original Blu-ray’s.
