Online PR News – 07-June-2012 – Noida, UP – started the special Live Chat series with the Directors of the B-schools which are conducting the MBA admission process for the 2012-14 session in order to let the MBA aspirants interact directly with the Directors.

The first chat of the series was held on Monday, June 4, 2012 with Dr. JD Singh, Director General, Jaipuria Institute of Management. The chat saw a flurry of questions from the MBA aspirants regarding the admission process and criteria of the MBA institute, placement process and other aspects of Jaipuria Institute of Management.

Excerpts from the Chat:

Q: Harshita Gupta: I want to know about admission in MBA (IT) & MBA (HR) in Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida. What is admission process?

A: You are welcome to apply for admission to PGDM (IT) or PGDM (HR). Both the specializations are available to students. The eligibility requirements include: 50 per cent or more in the graduation degree (those awaiting third year results can also apply and hope you will be making equal to or more than 50 per cent in the aggregate). You also need a good score in any of the major MBA entrance exams, CAT, MAT, XAT and CMAT. Students having high scholastic performance in the management entrance exam can avail fee waivers. Best wishes.

Q: Neha: I have done B.Sc. with first class in Botany & Biochemistry as my major subjects. Should I go for MBA in Pharma or M.Sc. in Applied Pharma? Does JIM provide specialization in Pharma?

A: The choice depends on your career aspirations. Should you be interested in making an equally rewarding career in research and product development, more specialized courses after M.Sc. in Applied Pharma will be of immense help. Should business and industry interest you the most, there is no better option than MBA in Pharma. We, at Jaipuria do not offer this specialization. Best wishes for a rewarding career!

Q: Priya Kumar: What are your expectations from the students? Is there common GDPI process for all the campuses?

A: We at Jaipuria prefer students who have:

• An OPEN mind and a positive aptitude and hunger to learn & grow
• Have initiative & leadership traits and be a team worker
• Self-learner to learn beyond class beyond campus in the real practicing world
• Fun loving and committed to make a great career.

You need to hurry up as only a few seats are left, and the next date of GDPI is June 9.

Q: Kailash Yadav: I completed BE (EC) this year. I want to drop a year to prepare for CAT and other exams. Will this one year drop affect my selection in MBA schools?

A: A year drop won’t pose a hindrance in your admission at a top B-School provided you earn an outstanding percentile in CAT exam and also give an account of the best use you made of this year in learning to shape yourself as a ace manager. Best wishes.

Q: Mayank Shukla: What is the fee for Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur campus? What is the MAT cut off? Can I still apply?

A: Thanks Mayank for your interest in exploring admission in Jaipuria Jaipur. I wish you could have talked to us earlier. Our seats in Jaipur campus are all full. May I suggest that you may join in our selection process on 9th June to explore admission opportunity at our most modern campus at Indore? Indore also offers you the latest curricula in management education with both dual specialization and also an opportunity to learn more about managing in a fast emerging digital world. The first year students have also achieved 100 per cent summer placement. Let me say Indore offers the best value for fee which is a modest amount of Rs. 4 lakh for two years (without hostel fee).

Q: Rishabh Sah: Does Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow offer any Executive MBA program? If yes, what is the duration, fees and admission criteria for the same?

A: Yes, Jaipuria Lucknow does offer an Executive PGDM program of three year duration but in a part time mode for executives working in and around Lucknow. The classes are held in the evening hours. Admissions are through GDPI and the fee for the 3 year period is Rs. 2 Lakh.
