Evosys bags the deal to implement emPower solution at Nawras, Oman

Nawras, the second largest service provider in Oman has selected Evosys as the Implementation Service provider for mobile based Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) approval solution, “emPower”, in Muscat.

With this win, we will be entering in to a new niche area of mobile EBS approval solution. This has provided us with an opportunity to showcase our expertise and augment our delivery area.
Nawras is an integrated services telecommunications operator with a nationwide team of over 1019 people, offering voice and data services through a platform of technologies including 2.75G, 3G+, WiMAX and fiber. Nawras is growing at a rapid pace, a CAGR of 54% in revenue since inception led by strategic investments in technology, physical assets and human capital. To ensure its edge and continue the rapid growth there is a need to take technology closer to its management team to help expedite decision making processes. Mobile enabling EBS approvals is one small step in that direction.

Our partners, Khimji Ramdas Information & Communication Technology (KICT) & Decimal Technologies will reinforce Evosys in this endeavor to transform the business process at Nawras. KICT will act as a Project Coordinator and provide for the operational and logistics front while the Mobile solution will be developed by Decimal. Evosys will be active as a System Integrator and Project coordinator for this project.
In the current Nawras environment, EBS approvals are integrated with Microsoft Outlook where a process approver is notified via email which can be accessed over a computer (PC) or mobile device. However, this current solution is not very user friendly and hence a need is felt to have a user friendly approval solution specifically for mobile devices.

This solution will help the management team save in response time, efforts and costs and allow the company to be swifter in its operations. Enabling Leave management on the mobile will also add to employee delight. While improving the management and employee experience, the solution also opens an opportunity for smoother functioning and in turn persistent rapid growth of Nawras. The team will take an estimated 15 weeks time to complete the project in Nawras.
