Lions club brings cheer to physically challenged children helping them showcase their talent
Online PR News – 26-February-2010 – – Mumbai; When God takes something away; he gives something else in full measure. At an annual day performance for Lions Club at Churchgate; celebrating 27 years; physically and mentally challenged children from schools all over the city put up a bravado performance of their talent. From singing lilting melodies of Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi; to dancing to the tunes of old Hindi favourites; the kids were enthralling and engaging.
The age group of the kids varied from 5 to 16 and actor Bhagyashree and socialite Nisha Jamwal came out in full support of the kids. Bhagyashree said “watching these kids; I feel they are more normal than most of us. Their performances are flawless and inspiring.”
Nisha Jamwal promised to come back and help the children. Tele stars Rashmi Desai and Veer also made it a point to watch the show. It was truly a great effort by Bharat Garodia and the team at Lions Club; who said “the aim was just to bring a smile to the children. Charity is one of the important pillars of Lions Club. Such occasions lend confidence to the children and we try our best to give them prizes that they will cherish. ”
