Online PR News – 04-June-2012 – Delhi, Dl – Save the earth, ozone layer depletions, tree planting, water management seminars…you name it and across the world millions of intellectuals get together to discuss and validate improvements and actions as a tribute to World Environment Day.
Le Passage Travel Foundation - Shaping Lives are more grass roots as you would notice from our last year’s ‘World Environment Week 2011’ program, as we pitch in with a small but significant theme based endeavor to promote environmental awareness.
At Shaping Lives, Le Passage believes that tomorrow’s world belongs to today’s youth and children, so they try and configure their celebrations to encourage youth and gen-next to participate, learn and implement basic daily tenets into their life cycle to ensure their contribution to a safer better environment in the years to come. This year the emphasis is on the new environment hazard… ‘e-waste’. India has recently woken up to its million tons of extremely hazardous e-waste lying in the form of un-used or trashed IT equipment at home, in offices or in the industries. Policies and e-waste re-cycling methods and authorized agents and protocols have been put in place and implementation of these is the need of the day.
Shaping Lives in close association with Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group will be promoting e-waste awareness and remedies as its focus on World Environment Day i.e. 05 Jun 2012. The Environment Day event, also the 50th anniversary celebrations of this day, is being organized at Select CityWalk, Saket from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m., with this premium Mall being a co-partner. The essence is to educate masses on e-waste management, set-up bins for collection of e-waste, encourage children to take e-pledges, take-home-a-plant in addition to fun and thrills for the youngsters, including the potters’ wheel and much more. The collection bins will be retained at the Mall till the week ending 10 Jun and collections will be handled by CHINTAN who are authorized e-waste handlers. Participate in the event and contribute your share to the environmental e-waste for a better tomorrow.
