AlpenGRAPHIK is a consulting firm that serves companies and organizations in the areas of event photography, info- and presentation-graphic development, digital asset management, internationalization and geographic information systems.
Prior to founding alpenGRAPHIK in 2011, Thomas was a management consultant in Boston and Washington, DC for 17 years and an official at the State University of New York's System Administration in Albany for 19 years. As a consultant, he specialized in international trade and investment, public sector marketing, and technology applications to business needs -- serving a broad range of corporate, not-for-profit, and government clients as a consultant and trainer.
Thomas was on the staffs of Harbridge House/Sears World Trade, The Hay Group, The World Bank, and Thompson-Delstar, Inc. Additionally, he co-founded Eastern European Language and Business Associates, a firm focused on providing business support services to Western investors in the former Soviet Bloc. While with SUNY, he served as Assistant Provost for International Education and Director of Research and Economic Development and was involved in a large number of programs and projects dealing with the rapid growth in Internet usage at the university.
Thomas earned a BS in Biology at Hobart College, an MS (Civil Engineering) and JD at the University at Buffalo and an MA in International Affairs (international law and business) at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
