KenCrest serves more than 8,000 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities at 350 site locations in the five-county Philadelphia region and the state of Delaware each year.
Online PR News – 23-May-2012 – Philadelphia, PA – Over 300 individuals served by KenCrest, will make their way to the Upper Moreland High School gymnasium on Saturday, June 2, to attend the agency’s annual prom. The event is made possible through a partnership with the high school and the Post-Prom Party Committee, who leave the themed decorations intact from the high school’s actual Prom the night before for people supported by KenCrest to enjoy as their own.
“Our supported individuals look forward to this all year long and if it wasn’t for one of our staff nurses, Pat Martin, dedication to this event, it wouldn’t happen,” says prom committee member Kelsey Magaskie. “The best part of Prom is watching Pat’s face light up when she sees how much fun everyone is having. The time and effort Pat puts into KenCrest Prom shows how selfless she is.”
KenCrest offers it’s gratitude to volunteers from Citizens Bank and Upper Moreland High School Upper Moreland, Upper Moreland Post-Prom Party Committee, KenCrest’s volunteers and Lombardi’s restaurant for making this event a continued success.
