A large part of our society lives in dark due to blindness, either caused at birth or during an accident. To help those people who lost their sight unfortunately, Max Healthcare pledges to come out as a ray of hope for them by inviting people to donate their eyes voluntarily.
With Facebook becoming the largest platform among people, who love doing something good over here, this application tends to draw a large number of people from every corner of the society. On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, Max Healthcare launched this application to pay a tribute to all the volunteers and members.
According to Parul M Sharma, HOD –Ophthalmology at Max Hospital, Gurgaon, “Each patient who comes to Max Eyecare receives an in-depth evaluation to determine his or her specific needs. Through special tests, we are able to discover which low vision aids will be most helpful. These aids may include microscopic lenses, special magnifiers, closed circuit television, computer systems and telescopes. Each aid is designed to help the patient perform specific tests at a range of distances. Non-optical aids available to the low vision patient include large-print reading materials, writing guides, household helpers and games.”
