Vibrant IT Community Organization Centered on Microsoft System Center Expands to New York, NY
Online PR News – 21-May-2012 – King of Prussia, PA – The System Center User Group has announced its expansion to the greater New York City area this spring. With the support of Microsoft and several local partners, including Software Logic, 1E, EVault, Veeam, and RES Software, the System Center User Group is expanding its vibrant IT community to New York. The non-profit group brings IT professionals together in a structured forum to discover, discuss, and debate current and next-generation systems management solutions from Microsoft with a focus on Microsoft System Center 2012 and core infrastructure technologies such as Windows Server and Hyper-V. The System Center User Group aims to build off its existing Philadelphia chapter in hopes to attract members who are professionals responsible for or interested in deploying System Center 2012 in their IT environments.
The New York chapter’s first meeting will be held at the Microsoft Technology Center in New York City on Thursday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for the first meeting will be a best of Microsoft Management Summit 2012 review and live demonstrations of next generation Windows Server 2012 beta, Hyper-V 3.0, Virtual Machine Manager 2012 Service Pack 1 CTP, and Windows 8. Event registration is open and available at the User Group Website.
The Philadelphia System Center User Group was founded in April 2011 by Scott Stumpf, the CTO of Software Logic, who saw the need to share and cultivate knowledge around Microsoft’s System Center technology to support private cloud environments. This year the Philadelphia Chapter is celebrating its one-year anniversary as an established professional organization.
“I’m very pleased with the success and growth of the System Center User Group in Philadelphia and looking forward to the launch of our New York chapter. The User Group is a great free community resource available to anyone interested in System Center, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring the group to New York so close to the System Center 2012 launch,” said Stumpf.
