Fort Worth TX dental office hosts local elementary schools in order to provide information on proper dental care
Online PR News – 15-May-2012 – Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth, Texas – Drs. Robert Batton and Justin Harlin, two general and cosmetic dentists in Fort Worth Texas, are pleased to announce the programming they are currently offering to a number of elementary schools in the Fort Worth area. The dentists have been hosting over 400 third-graders in their Fort Worth dental office in order to provide the students with age-appropriate information about proper dental care and the role it plays in maintaining a healthy mouth and body.
Third grade students from South Hi Mount, Westcliff and Ridglea Hills elementary schools have already attended the program hosted by the dental practice in Fort Worth. An additional group of students from Tanglewood Elementary is scheduled for the program on May 18th. The children move through four different learning centers while in the dental office, covering topics such as good nutrition and the part it plays in maintaining a healthy mouth, the importance of brushing and flossing at home, the role of orthodontics and how easy it is to have straight teeth, and the anatomy and function of teeth. After going through the four learning centers, the Fort Worth family dentists host a question and answer session to provide additional information for the students.
“The children have loved being in our office and we are glad we can provide such an age-appropriate means of encouraging proper dental care,” explains Dr. Batton. “The biggest hit of the program is when the kids get to meet Flossasorous, our friendly dinosaur that helps teach the kids how to properly floss their teeth. He’s definitely a big hit with the third graders!”
In addition to providing the students with information that will set the stage for good oral hygiene into the future, Drs. Batton and Harlin also think it’s important to show the kids that a dentist’s office can be a comfortable and friendly place. They have created an office that provides general and cosmetic dentistry in Fort Worth in a family-friendly atmosphere. This makes patients of all ages feel welcomed and comfortable, no matter what type of dentistry procedure they are in the office to have performed.
“Dr. Batton and I have been an active part of our local community for many years,” says Dr. Harlin, “and we thought it was a great idea to get involved in showing the younger members of our community how they can do their part in leading healthier lives and avoiding future dental problems. Besides, we love watching the faces of the kids when a friendly dinosaur shows them how to floss – it’s priceless!”
Dr. Robert Batton and Dr. Justin Harlin are co-owners of a cosmetic and family dentistry practice in Fort Worth, Texas.
