Online PR News – 16-May-2012 – Gilbert, AZ – Alcon is a supplier for some of the most prestigious marques including Audi, Bentley, Brabus and Jaguar Land Rover; as well as some of the most extreme applications such as the 900bhp/tonne Ariel Atom 500 and the 225mph Noble M600. It delivers programs that meet the requirements of mainstream OEMs at a low cost. That same expertise is also available to owners, upgrading their street cars for enhanced performance on road or track.
Alcon gained a name for itself in the 1980’s when its brakes were fitted onto Indy Cars. The company saw many victories from the cars they equipped in race series such as Trans Am, Indy Car, IMSA, Grand Am, and NASCAR. More recently, Alcon equipment has been in the 2011 Indy Car Champion Dario Franchitti’s car and the 2012 Daytona 24 Hour overall winners, Michael Shank Racing.
Alcon has US locations in Illinois and North Carolina.
AIRAID was founded in 1997 when it began developing and manufacturing air intake systems for light trucks and SUVs, utilizing the cotton-gauze filter technology that was available at the time. The original AIRAID Intake System combined an open-element filter with an intake tube to make an easy-to install air intake kit that dramatically increased air flow, improved performance, and generated more horsepower and torque.
AIRAID Premium Filters consist of multiple layers of cotton-gauze plus one layer of synthetic fiber material sandwiched between either stainless steel or aluminum mesh, depending upon the application. The casing of the filter is hand-poured urethane, which offers superior performance and durability, and will not shrink or crack from prolonged heat exposure under the hood.
AIRAID is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
