Local Plumber Recognized for Service Excellence

Online PR News – 18-June-2009 – – Local Plumber Recognized for Service Excellence

“It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.” That phrase could certainly be said by the skilled plumbers who are called to keep us all in cleaner, safer, better functioning homes. After all, they straighten out some serious messes in kitchens, bathrooms and other parts of the house.
Typically, it’s a profession that’s out-of-sight, out-of mind. You don’t think of plumbers when the toilet flushes – only when it doesn’t. And then, their job becomes really important.
Honestly, have you thought about your plumber lately? Well you should, because this month a much-needed plumbing contractor will receive some long overdue attention. Priority Plumbing has won the Top Choice Award this week for customer satisfaction in Toronto and this local plumber is taking it very seriously.
“We’re glad to have won this award 3 years in a row,” said Austin Tsakopoulos, President of Priority Plumbing. “But we’d be missing something if we didn’t give credit where credit is due. Our customers are the ones that enable us to keep doing what we do best, and so this is one small way we can say ‘thank you.”
That “small way” could turn out to be big. To help educate consumers, Priority Plumbing is offering a Free Whole House Plumbing Inspection during this week.

In the meantime, Tsakopoulos offers a heads-up on a couple of plumbing issues many homeowners face during warmer months. “Most of us will see increased water use for lawn care, gardening, car washing and well, kids being home more,” he said.
“Two things to watch for: Slow drains and leaky faucets. If your water is slow to drain, you could have sewage back into your home, which is an awful health hazard. At best, it is an incredible mess. A plumbing pro can treat your drains to flow good as new… before you have this problem. It’s just good prevention.”
Leaking faucets are another issue. “Please know that the ‘drip, drip, drip’ you hear no matter how hard you crank down the handle is costing you” Tsakopoulos said. “Just one drop a second means 1,000 gallons a month you’re wasting. Whether you call us or another professional, you owe it to yourself to get those taken care of.”
So, celebrate Summer the right way. Think of your plumber positively… before there’s a problem.
