Online PR News – 23-April-2012 – Winter Park/Florida – WinterParkLostPets.com announced today that during the Winter Park Dog Walk on May 19, 2012, mobile pet vaccine provider CheapShots will provide a 3-year rabies vaccination voucher with every $3 donation made to The Lost Pets Foundation.

There is no added cost and no limit to the number of rabies vaccination vouchers one can acquire during the Winter Park Dog Walk, which will be held at Cady Way Trail in Winter Park.

Vaccination vouchers will be valid for six months and can be redeemed at any location throughout Central Florida that hosts the CheapShots mobile clinic.

“We are deeply grateful to CheapShots for providing such an important service to pet owners and for supporting The Lost Pets Foundation,” said Judy Charuhas, co-founder of WinterParkLostPets.com and The Lost Pets Foundation.

100 Free Microchip Pet IDs Also Available

Persons wishing to walk in the Dog Walk can register online at WPdogwalk.com or in person at the Winter Park YMCA. The $20-per-pet registration fee benefits The Lost Pets Foundation. For their $20 donation, registrants will receive a Dog Walk t-shirt plus a “Doggie Goodie Bag” filled with dog treats, toys and surprises.

The registration donation also includes a free microchip pet ID. The microchips will be administered at the Dog Walk by Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) and are available to the first 100 who request this service when they register for the Dog Walk.

OCAS and WinterParkLostPets.com are each providing 50 microchips and WinterParkLostPets.com is underwriting the lifetime chip registration fee for all 100 chips. “This is a tremendous value. Pet owners can pay $35 to $95 for this microchip service at their local vet,” explained Ms Charuhas. “But more importantly, you cannot put a price on the peace of mind from knowing your pet’s identification is secure and permanent.”

The Winter Park Dog Walk will be held Saturday May 19, 2012, from 8 am to 12 noon and will follow the Cady Way Trail starting at the Cady Way Pool in Winter Park. Participants can walk along the trail for as long or short a distance as they wish. Parking is free.
