Latest version of unique Information Trust Software to be demonstrated at the show.
Online PR News – 16-April-2012 – London – protected-networks, a Berlin based software company founded in 2009, is proud to announce its participation at Infosecurity 2012, to be held in London later this month. The company will showcase its flagship solution 8MAN, an Information Trust Software which addresses a seemingly simple, yet serious concern of most growing organisations – Who has access to what information? A certified Microsoft partner, protected-networks will be present at the event with UK reseller partners – Guardian Technologies and Digital Pathways.
On stand C83, protected-networks will be demonstrating 8MAN showing how the graphical interface displays the existing rights situation in Microsoft Active Directory group structures, NTFS permissions and SharePoint, down to the individual user level. Visitors will also be able to see how questions such as "Who actually has access to this directory?" or "Which folders are available to Mrs. Smith?" can easily be answered and how reports can be automatically generated.
In a Microsoft Active Directory environment, access rights security is identified as the weakest link, leaving client sensitive data highly vulnerable to breaches and other security risks. 8MAN primarily caters to this limitation; it is a fully integrated software solution that manages the Active Directory, file server and SharePoint access rights. It limits access rights to a “need to know” basis, thereby significantly mitigating data security risks.
“Most companies are grappling with strenuous security issues amidst proliferating internal data, having a list of nightmare security scenarios such as: Who has access to proprietary information in finance, business development and especially customer and supplier information,” said Stephan Brack, CEO, protected-networks. “And these questions barely scratch the surface of much larger compliance related challenges emerging due to lack of a robust security and access management methodology.”
Presently, protected-networks has several active partners as well as a local sales team in the UK and is aggressively focusing on further strengthening its presence in the region. “In this highly competitive market place, we are confident about the distinctive features of 8MAN and its ability to support businesses. Streamlined access rights do not only facilitate data protection but also tangibly save cost and time,” added Steven Bennett, Head of Channel for EMEA region.
At the event, Stephan Brack will be addressing audiences at the Technology Showcase Theatre on 24th and 25th of April on the evolving trends in the access management ecosystem and imperative measures for data protection.
