Coral Hotel Dhahran Showcases its Facilities to Travel Trade
Online PR News – 14-April-2012 – dubai – It was an occasion to remember. The special party organized by the Coral Hotel Dhahran was the high point of the Coral Hotels & Resorts Saudi Roadshow held on April 9 to showcase therecently opened hotel and its facilities. Everyone who mattered in the travel industry was present on the occasion – top tour operators, travel agents, corporate and leisure bookers, in short a veritable who’s who of the travel trade and media from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
The roadshowwas organised byHMH - Hospitality Management Holdings to promote its brands and hotels at the recently concluded Saudi Travel & Tourism Investment Market (STTIM) held in Riyadh. Coral Hotel Dhahran is the newest star in the group’s rapidly expanding portfolio so it was only fitting that the gala party was held there.
General Manager Rushdi Al Ashkar said, “As pointed out by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) at the STTIM, tourism and travel is increasingly becoming a key sector in the country’s growth story both for its revenue and employment generation potential as well as its growing contribution to the Saudization of the economy. The Eastern Province is the epicentre of the oil industry, the mainstay of the Saudi economy. Hence, it is very significant in terms of both business and leisure travel.
“While the government’s focus is on developing the required infrastructure, it is private players like HMH that are catalysing rapid development in the hospitality sector. The Group’s commitment to KSA can be seen in the fact that 40% of our total inventory, totalling 13 properties, are in the Kingdom. That makes us one of the keysectorial players in the country and one of the most dynamic in the region,” Ashkar elaborates.
The STCA anticipates quadrupling of tourist numbers from 22 million to 88 million annually but sees the strongest growth in domestic tourism. “The local market will remain our priority, although we expect a good number of our guests to come from outside Saudi Arabia, with the GCC making up most of the overseas traffic,” says Ashkar.
The travel industry and media were introduced to the world class amenities offered by 153-room Coral Hotel Dhahran during the roadshow. Located in the heart of the Aramco business district in close proximity to two of its principal malls, it isdesigned to host any event from major corporate conferences to prominent local weddings, offering guests superior king, twin and suite accommodation, with amenities including flat-screen TVs and high-speed Internet connections.
“We are a young hotel but we see ourselves as the ultimate address for both leisure and business travellers who seek personalized service with exclusive luxury. We pamper our guests, who have unreservedly praised our ‘excellent service standards’, professionalism and ‘superb performance’, so much so that we have already received high praise for quality and international standards within the short span of our operation,” Ashkar points out.
Apart from the in-room amenities, corporate groups can avail of conference facilities that include four well-appointed meeting rooms with a capacity for up to 100 delegates as well as a ballroom that can host receptions for 250 people.
Wellness facilities for the health-conscious traveller includean aerobics studio, sauna and steam rooms and well-equipped fitness centre, while dining options include an all-day dining restaurant Al Nafoora, a speciality Indian restaurant Rasoi, and the Rumours Café.
