As part of the Nampa Chamber's Business and Breakfast series, Don Wixom REALTOR® will be speaking about the local real estate market.
Online PR News – 11-April-2012 – BOISE, Ida. – BOISE, Ida. - RE/MAX Advantage Broker/Owner Don Wixom will be speaking on Thursday April 12th at 7:30 am at an event hosted by the Nampa Chamber of Commerce at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Nampa. The event is part of the monthly Nampa Chamber of Commerce Business and Breakfast series.
Wixom will be speaking about Idaho short sales as well as the state of residential real estate in the Treasure Valley, including such topics as:
• Where is the bottom of the market? Is it past, or is it yet to come?
• What are home values doing? Are they on the rise or declining?
• The real estate market after the bubble.
• Distressed properties and how they affect the market.
• How real estate tools for consumers have changed with the advent of mobile apps, QR codes, etc.
• What opportunities are there for real estate investments?
Wixom says that one of the most pressing questions he gets asked by buyers and sellers is whether we are in a buyer's market or seller's market. He says the current market has attributes that would normally be associated with both types of markets.
"The low inventory and rising prices like we're seeing right now in early 2012 tend to indicate a seller's market, while our historically low interest rates would seem to indicate a buyer's market."
He also says market stats show that homes for sale in Meridian are the best at maintaining and increasing in value when compared to other locations in the Treasure Valley, but Nampa real estate has some great bargains.
"The lowest prices available right now are definitely in Canyon County, but there are some great deals on Boise homes for sale as well."
