Tanya Vegvary Plescia has been studying piano since age of 4, and worked to become an accomplished Pianist, Composer, and Teacher. During college at California State University of Sacramento she studied with Frank Wasko and Richard Cionco. Throughout college she received a talent based scholorship each semester. Other accomplishments include winning the Senior Achievement Award, winning the annual Concerto Competition plus others!

One of her recent accomplishments is the release of her album titled “Tanya Vegvary Plescia, Piano”. Edward Ortiz of Sacramento Bee describes her music as showing “a wide range of influences and a taste for pushing musical boundaries”. The album was recorded at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sacramento, CA. Ms. Plescia says “I chose this church because it has a warm yet live acoustic and a gorgeous Steinway grand”!

As a composer, she is often busy at work with new and progressive music that is pleasing and immediate to audiences. Ms. Plescia is also busy with her performance schedule. She has been invited to perform this season at The Phillips Collection in Washington D.C., The National Gallery in Washington D.C., the Kindred Arts Concert Association, as the special guest artist at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California plus several additional events.
