PMG Sports, a top sports marketing and athlete representation agency signs Phil Dalhausser.
Online PR News – 04-April-2012 – Raleigh, NC – PMG Sports, a top sports marketing and athlete representation agency specializing in Olympic athletes, announces today the expansion of its elite clientele to include Phil Dalhausser, beach volleyball star and Olympic gold medalist.
“Phil’s domination on the beach has led to a host of top companies wanting to utilize him as a brand spokesperson. We hope to showcase his global presence with other leading companies,” says PMG Sports’ President and CEO Evan Morgenstein. “Phil’s potential as a global ambassador is virtually untapped. We are looking forward to leveraging his current relationships and extending him new opportunities with companies all over the world.”
Dalhausser, alongside beach volleyball partner, Todd Rogers, together became the first U.S. beach team to win the gold medal at the 2007 FIVB World Championships in Switzerland. This tournament set Dalhausser and his partner up for the gold at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games where he ousted Brazil’s team for the top spot. Dalhausser ended up walking away with nine blocks, the tournament’s MVP title and a newly acquired nickname – “The Beijing Beast.”
“I travel the world trying to compete at my very best at each tournament and was looking for an agency that really understood how to handle my current sponsors and leverage new opportunities,” Dalhausser said, “PMG Sports is the perfect home for me!”
The Swiss-born Dalhausser didn’t grab the reins of volleyball until his senior year of high school. Upon college, it was his tall stature and aggressive style that grabbed attention at the University of Central Florida. Now, Dalhausser is sporting one Olympic gold medal, a World Championship title, and 21 World Tour titles, and is hoping to add to his collection in the upcoming 2012 London Olympic Games.
Dalhausser embodies the life of the ultimate volleyball player. Living on the beautiful beaches of Ventura, CA, he is happy to call the beach volleyball court “home.” He is a great addition to the PMG Sports team, and is sure to create buzz in the coming Olympic Games.
