The Fence Project of the Year Award recognizes a company that continues to set the standard of excellence in the industry and has demonstrated unique workmanship and exemplary knowledge of fence installation
Online PR News – 29-March-2012 – Glen Ellyn, IL – The Fence Project of the Year Award was presented to the Town & Country Fence Company of Clackamas, OR by the American Fence Association (AFA) during its 50th annual trade show FENCETECH’12 in Miami, FL. President David Edie accepted the coveted award from Brad Howard, 2012 AFA awards chair.
The Fence Project of the Year Award recognizes a company that continues to set the standard of excellence in the industry and has demonstrated unique workmanship and exemplary knowledge of fence installation. The winning project was complex in scope and involved installing a fence at Camp Withycombe, a $74 million Armed Forces Complex with a sq. ft. vehicle maintenance/storage building.
“We are honored to be acknowledged by our peers in the fencing industry,” said Edie. “We take pride in our belief that to be a professional company; you must surround yourself with other professional companies such as Metro Security Access Control.”
Two long-term AFA member companies teamed up for this massive project. Town & Country Fence Co. represented by Edie spearheaded the project and hired Metro Access Control in Portland, OR to assist with the automation of the gates and bollards.
This project involved crash-rated hydraulic bollards, automated swing gates, automated roll gates, field-built partitions with many obstructions and chain link fencing. Additionally, the ornamental iron fencing required different skill sets and coordination of electricians, gate automation techs, excavation, concrete laborers and fence installers. Few projects of this magnitude are done with such a variety of products, and Town & Country Fence brought its many years of commercial security fence experience to make this project a success.
Town & Country Fence Company has been in business for 37 years and a member of AFA for 16 years.
In 2012, AFA celebrates 50 years of setting the standard of excellence as the world’s largest fence, deck, railing and access control association, serving members throughout the US and around the world. The association offers its members comprehensive training, certification and professional development opportunities, industry insights and information and a distinctive competitive advantage for industry professionals.
