APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR KIMBALL ART CENTER’S RELEVANT 2012 PROGRAM
The program is designed to give five selected college and graduate-level students the knowledge and platform necessary to become a successful full-time career artist.
(Park City, Utah) – The Kimball Art Center’s Relevant Artist-in-Residence program brings together a select group of talented undergraduate and graduate-level art students from across the country. During the 8-day residence (July 28th - August 4th), student artists are mentored by nationally acclaimed professional artists, attend workshops and round table discussions, and create an original work of art for the Kimball’s annual art auction.
"Relevant was an intense and amazing week of making, seeing and learning,” explains Ryan Hughes, a 2010 Relevant artist. “A combination of amazing artists, host and resources made for a unique and one of a kind experience."
The Relevant 2012 Exhibition will run from August 4 – September 30, 2012 and opens during the Park City Kimball Arts Festival (August 3 – 5), which attracts 55,000 art lovers every year.
