Online PR News – 28-March-2012 – Cedar Rapids – Keith Myers, Cedar Rapids resident, is proud to announce that he's been selected to participate in the Dare to Lead Management Training Program. This intensive training will be held by his employer, Nash Finch, and it marks the first time that Keith Myers has been asked to participate.
"I am deeply honored to be selected for participation in this program," says Keith Myers of Cedar Rapids. "There are many people who work for Nash Finch, and I know that enrollment is limited. To be handpicked out of a field of other talented and dedicated workers is quite an honor, and I am thrilled that I was chosen. I can't wait to get started."
In Cedar Rapids, Keith Myers runs the produce operation for Nash Finch. He's held this position since 2010, and it marks the second time that he's worked for the company as a whole.
"I started working for Nash Finch all the way back in 1986," says Keith Myers. "Cedar Rapids was far from my thoughts at that time, as I was living in Iowa and running retail produce department. Over time, I accepted new opportunities with other companies, but I always wanted to return to Nash Finch, so when they offered me the position in Cedar Rapids, I knew I had to come back to the fold. It's just a great company to work for."
According to Keith Myers, Cedar Rapids is a key location for Nash Finch, and since he holds a supervisory position, it makes sense that the company would invest in his capabilities as a manager.
"The work that I do directly impacts the bottom line of the company," says Keith Myers. "It's important that I know how to hire, inspire and train my employees so we can work together and bring value to the company as a whole. I'm really looking forward to brushing up my skills so I can handle those tasks with ease."
In addition to working for Nash Finch in Cedar Rapids, Keith Myers enjoys spending time with his family, and he's an active member of his church and a tireless volunteer on behalf of the elderly and the homeless in his community.
"I hope that my leadership training will also help me in these areas as well," says Keith Myers.
