Hop little frog! Hop! Toxic Frog makes its debut on Android. The endearing game from Ramble Interactive is now available to both iOS gamers as a Universal App in the App Store and to Android gamers in Google Play.
The concept is simple. The game, however, is addicting and deceptively challenging. In Toxic Frog, the gamer is a frog on a jungle pond. The object is to get the fireflies that land on the lily pads. Just hop on them, that's all. Doesn't that sound easy? Unfortunately these fireflies are very tricky little bugs that can even be a little electrifying at times. It requires plenty of skill, a little strategy, and maybe even a little luck. After all, it's dangerous business being a frog on a jungle pond, pretty much everything wants to kill you.
The style and concept of Toxic Frog are reminiscent of the arcade classics, with the added benefit of touch. Bright and lively graphics combined with easy game play make Toxic Frog fun for kids, with one finger just tap to hop. Over 30 levels of ever increasing dangers make it fun and challenging for adults and more experienced gamers. From Toxic Frogs to Marauding Jungle Owls and more, there are plenty of dangers to keep gamers hopping. Players can also compare scores through Game Center for iOS, OpenFeint for iOS and Android, and local high scores.
The release of Toxic Frog on Google Play follows an earlier release to the App Store where reviews are starting to roll in. Gamers are really enjoying the simple game play combined with the unique challenges and to date, Toxic Frog has received an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars for all versions. One reviewer writes:
"Tap-tap-tap on the lily pads, that's all you do. Make your frog hop here, make your frog hop there. Silly stupid frog. You just hopped on an electrified firefly, and now you're dead. Somebody help me stop playing this simple, yet scary-addictive game!"
Enjoying the support of its fans, Ramble Interactive has created several fun free downloads including desktop wallpapers. However, the most unusual freebie and something unique among app developers is a free desktop widget. Based on the settings window for Toxic Frog, Ramble Interactive decided to have a little fun and created the Toxic Frog Desktop Tiki for Mac and Windows.
With Toxic Frog now available in the App Store and Google Play, Ramble Interactive plans on bringing it to the Barnes and Noble Nook and also to the Amazon Kindle. Clearly, there has never been a better time to hop!
