Online PR News – 24-February-2012 – – London, 23 February 2012: Creative industries support services group DiA is looking to capitalize on the current media boom in the North West by opening an office in Manchester.
DiA Group North will supply training, recruitment and equipment hire services to the TV, film and commercials industry through an office in The Triangle on Exchange Square in Manchester city centre.
Headed up by Manchester based businessman Mark Brown, who also runs the successful online recording equipment sales company www.editorskeys.com, the DiA Group North office will also become the northern HQ for the group’s three subsidiaries The Bridge Training, The Crewing Company and Alias Hire.
The DiA Group is headquartered just a stones throw from the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London. The company will provide its support services to broadcasters from around the world during the London 2012 games and is also part of a consortium bidding to take over the Olympic broadcast and press centre once the games are completed.
DiA Group chief operating officer David Brady said: “The Olympics is going to be great for us but we are always looking for the next opportunity and with the uptake of space at Media City in Salford increasing we saw a genuine chance to service both that development and the whole of the North West from a convenient location in the centre of Manchester.”
With the BBC moving TV and radio channels and more than 3,000 jobs to MediaCityUK and the commercials sector currently thriving, demand is currently high in the North West for both freelance talent and dedicated media industry training.
DiA North General Manager Mark Brown added: “The need for the services that we have to offer has been growing over the past couple of years. The DiA group has been very successful in the South of England and now it’s the perfect time to help freelancers and media companies by providing the same high standards of service in the North.”
