Envido leads on green management practices with the ISO 14001 standard.

Envido, one the UK’s leading carbon and energy management firms, has announced that it has been awarded with the ISO 14001 standard. This means that Envido has an accredited system for managing the organisation’s environmental impacts.

Online PR News – 08-February-2010 – – The environmental standard verifies Envido’s green credentials, by requiring Envido to have a comprehensive environmental management system. This means that all of Envido’s impacts upon the environment are measured and where possible reduced.

This benefits the company by reducing costs and communicating the companies’ green ethos internally and externally. With the organisation growing so quickly, this pledge to reduce the environmental impacts of the business shows that a green agenda and business growth do not need to be mutually exclusive.

Commenting on the accreditation, Russell Lerman, Envido’s managing director said: "Envido is a leader in the energy efficiency and wider environmental services marketplace and as such supports best practice in environmental management. We view it as our responsibility and business to promote environmental management, throughout our own business, and throughout our client’s organisations. “

"This means that it is vital that we keep our own house in order. This accreditation shows that we are achieving our environmental goals, and can pass on our knowhow safe in the knowledge that our own performance is best practice.”

"Through using the specific services which Envido has pioneered made the accreditation simple. The fact that we past both stages of the audit process first time, shows that our systems are robust and that the knowledge we have gained through delivering these services to clients, has lead to a methodology which is easy to implement, and delivers quickly."
