Chris Underhill joins leading Lifecycle Marketing firm as non-executive director

Underhill, who previously held the role of CEO at SmartFOCUS Group, joins Magiq to help launch its new Lifecycle Marketing product, LifecycleMAGIQ, and support the company’s future expansion strategies.

A seasoned marketer, Underhill brings more than 20 years of business growth, customer insight and multi-channel marketing knowledge and experience to Magiq. This expertise will be utilised as the company aims to become the first lifecycle marketing company, specifically serving the Small and Medium (SMB) market. LifecycleMAGIQ will focus on delivering powerful, effective marketing tools aimed at helping cross-channel marketing teams enhance sales performance, conversion rates and customer engagement quickly and simply.

Underhill started his career at Thorn EMI Computer Software, but his shift from sales to marketing was cemented when he moved to Computer2000. He was responsible for a team of product marketers, and took companies like Microsoft, HP and Cisco to market. From this experience he gained the support and knowledge to build SmartFOCUS into a leading email and marketing technology provider, which helped marketers create and use customer insight to deliver greater business success. In April 2011, Underhill accepted a £25.3 million takeover of the SmartFOCUS Group by Emailvision Holdings Limited.
