Online PR News – 20-February-2012 – – Jock Brocas, board member of the American Society for Standards in Mediumship and Psychical Investigation announces that the decision on the testing panel for mediumship has finally been chosen. The panel consists of professionals in the fields of science, mediumship and research. These professional individuals consist of Dr Craig Hogan (Author and Researcher), Mark Ireland (Author), Jock Brocas (Medium and Author), Robin Foy (Author, Researcher) and Marion Dampier Jeans (Author and Medium) who will design and implement the testing protocols for mediumship research and testing of developing mediums.

The aim is to set a standard that should be reached both in the research fields of mediumship and psychical investigation and to help raise the standards of professional mediumship as a science, calling and vocation. The ASSMPI also concerns itself in researching the reality of Physical Mediumship and also has in existence a division to support developing mediums and mediums who have come up against serious negativity. The ASSMPI remains non profit and any monies received go to fund development and support good causes.

Though the ASSMPI is relatively new in its existence, it has already expanded throughout the world and has representation in the UK, USA, Germany, Norway, Scandinavia and Europe. The plans are to continually expand its operation and help teach and promote mediumship throughout the world.

The testing panel of the organization is delighted at the prospect of helping to develop mediumship and implementing standards within this discipline, thus helping to reduce the risk of fraudulent mediumship practices. The ASSMPI will be holding its first inaugural conference sometime in 2012/13 and will bring established mediums and researchers from all over the world to lecture and present research findings. This will be announced in due course. The board now has the task of designing testing protocols in all fields of physical, mental and trance mediumship.
