ICICI Bank Internet Banking launched the Bank Account app for Facebook on January 1,2012 - marking a paradigm shift in the sphere of financial services.

The ease of use of the service is as simple as adding a new app like Farmville or a zyngapoker to your Facebook account with a secure 2-step authentication process and provides a user-friendly interface to avail a bouque of banking services. The app provides a comprehensive information on the various details requested by the customers.

Customers can easily register for the service by visiting and entering their ICICI Bank Debit Card number linked to the account and their ATM pin in step 1 of authentication. In the next step, the customer requires to setup a numeric pin for which will act as the login password for the subsequent sessions. The app also provides security options like virtual keyboard to enter pin and captcha facility.

The app is extremely safe to use as it is hosted on secure ICICI Bank servers and is made available on Facebook through a secure SSL connection. ICICI Bank does not transfer any data to Facebook. The customer's bank account information can only be accessed by customer using the 'Bank Account' App on Facebook after successful registration which incorporates strong 2 factor authentication and setting up a personalised password by the customer.
