The ancient capital of Finland, Turku, is this coming February set to welcome fans of Salsa dancing to town as the inaugural International Turku Salsa Festival heads into town.
Online PR News – 13-January-2012 – – The event will be held between February 24th and 26th 2012 and will attract salsa dancing enthusiasts from all over Finland and beyond.
The first ever hosting of the event will see many excited dancers and spectators head into town, with the International Turku Salsa Festival offering classes for beginners, novices and indeed anyone else who wants to learn! There are also classes and workshops hosted with salsa dancing experts for the more advanced dancer.
The venue for the salsa spectacular is the Sokos Hotel Caribia, just a short distance from Turku's downtown area. With that in mind online hotel room comparison website DirectRooms.com has advised that centrally-based Turku hotels will be in greater demand than usual.
The venue will offer dancers top quality facilities, including classic wooden floors on which to practice and dance. There are more than 30 seminars and workshops on offer to attendees.
Some of the big names from the salsa space on show include the Ramark Dance Company from France, Yeni Molinet from Cuba and Mauricio Alvarez from Columbia.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms.com, says, “Salsa dance enjoys a big following throughout Europe these days, so we are expecting the local hotels around the Turku venue to have a brisk time of it in February. We're advising people to book ahead to be sure of getting themselves the room they want at the price they are willing to pay."
