Independent Arlington, VA, bookstore opened one year ago to a warm welcome from the Arlington and Falls Church communities

On Thursday, January 19,, 2012, the store will host a party to celebrate the first anniversary of the store’s opening. The party, which starts at 6:30 pm, will include snacks and a wine tasting featuring red wines perfect for winter.
One More Page has enjoyed a strong first year, building a loyal clientele from Arlington and Falls Church residents. From the first days of opening its doors, the store has been welcomed into the community by local residents and businesses. “We are so fortunate to be in a neighborhood that really supports local businesses. Customers tell us all the time how thrilled they are to have a new indie bookstore in their neighborhood,” says owner Eileen McGervey
Since its opening in January 2011, One More Page has hosted a steady flow of author visits and signings, with over 70 authors appearing at the store. Tasting events featuring its wine and gourmet chocolates have become quite popular as have their book discussion groups. The store launched five book discussion clubs in its first year, including fiction, mystery/suspense, nonfiction, children’s, and philosophy/spiritual genres.
“It’s been an exhilarating year,” says Eileen. “We’re excited to be here and hope everyone will join us in celebrating our first anniversary.”
One More Page is located at 2200 North Westmoreland Street in Arlington, VA, and carries more than 6,000 quality titles for adults and children, wine, gourmet chocolates, greeting cards and featured art products by local artists.
