The beautiful island of Kos in Greece is this coming March set to welcome many hundreds of additional visitors to its shores as the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT) heads into town.
Online PR News – 11-January-2012 – – The staging of the conference on Kos has led online hotel room bookings website DirectRooms.com to advise advance booking of accommodation around that time. The conference is sure to see a run on Kos hotels between the 19th and 21st of March 2012.
The ICIT event was formulated and hosted by IEEE, the Industrial Electronics Society, and first took place back in 1994. The 2012 event will take a three-pronged format, with Plenary, Technical and Special sessions on offer to delegates.
The technical sessions take the form of presentations which cover such diverse topics as advanced methods of control, computer-based control, modelling of neural networks and also genetic algorithms.
Among the leading names from the industry who will be in attendance as expert speakers are Professor Christos Douligeris from Greece, Dr. George Halikias from the UK and also Professor Farhat Fnaiech from Tunisia.
The event is co-sponsored by the IEEE and also the University of Patras and the Industrial Systems Institute in Greece.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms.com, says, “Kos is a hugely popular holiday destination for people from all over the world and so perhaps unsurprisingly it will be busy in March 2012. Our advice to people visiting there around the time of the conference is to book accommodation well in advance to be sure of getting plenty of choice and availability."
