Online PR News – 11-January-2012 – – Glen Ellyn, IL, January 10, 2012—FENCETECH/DECKTECH’12, the largest trade show for the fence, deck, railing and access control industry, will continue its partnership with Habitat for Humanity and donate extra materials to the nonprofit following the show in Miami on January 25-27. Since 2010, Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the American Fence Association (AFA) and had a presence on its tradeshow floor at FENCETECH, where exhibitors donate their trade show materials to the local Habitat Humanity.
In their partnership with AFA, Habitat for Humanity has collected truckloads of donated materials that they have used for countless building projects in the local community. Habitat for Humanity will have its own show space on the show floor at FENCETECH’12, where exhibitors and attendees can stop by to find out how to donate materials after the show or get involved in their local area through donations, volunteer work or on national volunteer projects.
FENCETECH/DECKTECH’12 Chair Mark Davis, CFP, explained, “AFA and FENCETECH partner with Habitat for Humanity as a way to give back to the local community in the areas, where we hold our trade shows.”
Aside from FENCETECH, many of AFA’s exhibitors, members and suppliers strive to give back their local communities through chapter involvement and projects. Recently in 2011, AFA was instrumental in the reconstruction of the Arlington Cemetery Park and many members volunteered their time and talents to work on the project. The AFA leadership also extended a lending hand and their time to help out at a local food shelter the day before the trade show in Las Vegas.
