Danish Poly-Control is making its CES debut launching the first Z-Wave enabled door lock to fit doors worldwide.
Online PR News – 05-January-2012 – – Las Vegas, Nevada, January 9, 2012 – Poly-Lock is introducing the new Poly-Lock, showcased in CES booth # 20800. While current wireless door locks only operate in certain countries, the Poly-Lock is the first z-wave controlled door lock to be mounted on almost any existing door lock globally.
Produced in a simple, timeless Bang & Olufsen inspired Danish design, the Poly-Lock can be controlled remotely via a smart phone app, a web interface or Poly-Control’s own keypad, the Poly-Pad. The lock and keypad also integrate with commonly used wireless technologies such as NFC, Bluetooth and RFID for easy access.
Each time new users access the Poly-Lock, new pin codes can be assigned. Poly-Control CEO, Hans Overgaard, explains how the lock is an optimal solution in for example hotels, vacation homes and the homecare sector:
“In a typical scenario, a user receives a pin code on his phone and unlocks the door using the Poly-Control app. With Poly-Lock, the administrator can easily control and track who is accessing the buildings and when,” says the Danish CEO whose first reference customers have seen significant cost reductions in their security administration.
“Our customers are also citing the ease of installation as a key differentiator. The Poly-Lock can be mounted on any kind of door, no matter the size and current locking mechanism. Two screws and a ten minute installation is all it takes,” explains Overgaard. He is now receiving requests for the solution from places as diverse as India, Spain, Brazil and Australia.
Poly-Control is a family-owned business located in Aarhus, Denmark. The Poly-Lock is the newest addition to Poly-Control’s line of products wirelessly monitoring and controlling energy usage and building security. The Danish company is participating at the 2012 International CES as a part of the Z-Wave alliance booth.
