Holiday Inn Spring Lake-Grand Haven Adds Todd Riemersma as Executive Chef

New Executive Chef announced for Jack's Restaurant inside Holiday Inn Spring Lake-Grand Haven

Online PR News – 01-January-2012 – – SPRING LAKE (December 30, 2011) – Holiday Inn Spring Lake announces the appointment of Todd Riemersma as Executive Chef. The announcement is made today by April Schmidt, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Spring Lake.

“I am excited to welcome Chef Riemersma to our team and look forward to the positive changes he will bring to the food and beverage side of our hotel.” states Schmidt.

Riemersma has spent 26 years in the food and beverage industry getting his start in 1985 in Grand Rapids then relocating to Colorado where he owned and operated three upscale restaurants in Colorado before returning to the Grand Haven area in 2008 to raise his three small children.

“Growing up in Grand Rapids our family would come to the Holiday Inn for special occasions. As a kid this was my favorite place! I loved looking at the ice on the river in the winter and the boats in the summer. Jack’s Restaurant holds so many special memories,” shares Riemersma.

In his role as Executive Chef, Riemersma will oversee the culinary team as well as kitchen operations. As a hands-on leader, he will be instrumental in developing new menu options and plate presentations for Jack’s Restaurant and the banquet events held on property.

“My feelings toward food and dining go far beyond what ends up on the plate, says Riemersma. “I think of each dish as an all-around experience and with my heart, have made it my profession to share that experience with anyone wishing to join in.”
