New Baltimore non-profit offers scholarships to at-risk youths

I am O’Kah!, Inc., in partnership with The CollegeBound Foundation, will be awarding the ‘Kahdine Ann DaCosta Scholarship for Excellence in Leadership’ to two (2) college or university bound students.

Online PR News – 27-December-2011 – – Baltimore, MD - I am O’Kah!, Inc., in partnership with The CollegeBound Foundation (www.collegeboundfoundation.org), will be awarding the ‘Kahdine Ann DaCosta Scholarship for Excellence in Leadership’ to two (2) college or university bound students. Each scholarship award will range from $500 to $1000. Acceptance into the program means scholars are also provided with the nurturing and mentorship to succeed and flourish in college and beyond.

The strategic partnership between I am O’Kah!, Inc and the CollegeBound Foundation will not only give applicants access to all the other competitive scholarships offered by CollegeBound, it will also stream-line the application process and ensure an objective selective process. The deadline to submit an application is March 1st, 2012.

Kahdine passed away in February 2004 from breast cancer at the tender age of 26, leaving behind many dreams and aspirations of community service and civic engagement.
