Hometown Girl and Beatles Expert Selected as Featured Author at Melrose Festival

Jude Southerland Kessler will be returning to her hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana at the Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival with her newly published book on John Lennon.

Online PR News – 08-June-2009 – – Jude Southerland Kessler, a native of Natchitoches and author of ‘Shoulda Been There’, has been selected as the Featured Author at the 2009 Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival, slated for June 13-14, 2009 in Natchitoches. Kessler is a graduate of Northwestern State University and former teacher at Southwood High School in Shreveport.

‘Shoulda Been There’ focuses on Lennon’s life from his birth in 1940 to the discovery of the Beatles by manager, Brian Epstein, in 1961. Kessler is covering Lennon’s entire life in five historical novels, the next of which is to be published in October 2010.

Jude Kessler lived in Natchitoches from 1965-1973. She attended junior high, high school, and college while residing there. Ms. Kessler was President of the Natch High Student Council and Valedictorian at Northwestern State University.

Ms. Kessler will be appearing at the Melrose Festival both Saturday (June 13) and Sunday (June 14) from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to sign and sell copies of the book, and to answer questions about Lennon’s life or The Beatles in general.
