12/15/2011

Watch master glassblower Jason Probstein create handmade glass ornaments and showcase his glassblowing techniques during a series of live holiday demonstrations hosted by Mountain Made art gallery.

Online PR News – 15-December-2011 – – Ever wondered how glassblowers created all those colorful glass holiday ornaments and glasses?

If so then dropping by the MOUNTAIN MADE, an Asheville art gallery and watch Jason Probstein, a master glassblower and artist handcraft his custom glass ornaments, should be a special treat this holiday season.

There are many different forms of glass art demos; yet Jason’s live glass blowing exhibits remains of one of the gallery’s most popular events.

Jason will be giving his FREE glass blowing and lampworking exhibits everyday from 10 AM to 5PM and Sundays 12PM – 5PM until December 21, 2011 during the holiday season.

People love to watch Jason as he creates beautiful art goblets, tree-toppers and glass ornaments by using just a simple open flame and hot molten glass tubing.

Mountain Made owner, Melinda Knies says, “Kids of all ages just love Jason! For a lot of people Jason’s live glassblowing will be on the one of the few times that they can watch, up close, the skill and craftsmanship that a professional takes to create fine art.”

Jason Probstein is a professional lamp worker and glass blowing master craftsman. He works with a simple hand torch to heat, mold and melt hard glass tubing and rods to shape his incredible glasses, goblets, essential oil bottles and aroma oil lamps.

As well as the MOUNTAIN MADE, Jason has also performed his glassblowing demonstrations at Walt Disney World and trade shows all along the east coast.

Jason is always open to answering questions and willing to discuss his art and his glassblowing techniques with all interested visitors.

Melinda Knies, gallery owner further said, “We invite everyone to drop by our art gallery at the Historic Grove Arcade to watch Jason or visit us on the web at http://www.mtnmade.com/blog to discover more of our handcrafted gift ideas.”
