Kangaroo Express will provide breakfast to returning soldiers before address by President Obama

(Nasdaq:PTRY), the leading independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States, today announced it is joining the USO of North Carolina in welcoming more than 200 men and women returning to Fort Bragg with breakfast before they are addressed by President Barack Obama on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
"Providing breakfast to these brave service men and women is just a small token of our appreciation for their service to our country and time spent overseas," said John Fisher, senior vice president of marketing at Kangaroo Express. "We are honored to be even a small part of what promises to be a memorable day for each of the returning personnel."
The service men and women will be treated with Kangaroo Express' Bean Street Coffee, SUBWAY and Hardee's breakfast sandwiches and refreshments from Lance, Pepsi, Kellogg's, McLane and Bon Appetit.
With more than half of its stores located within 25 miles of a military installation, Kangaroo Express has supported the military and their families for many years, most recently raising $2.5 million for the USO, Wounded Warrior Project and local military support organizations as part of its summer-long "Salute Our Troops" fundraising campaign.
