Color Mastery, the color bible for quilters, goes to a second printing only three months after its February 2009 debut.
Online PR News – 04-June-2009 – – Big Canoe, GA — June 4, 2009. Appalachian indie Willow Ridge Press announces Color Mastery: 10 Principles for Creating Stunning Quilts, is going to a second printing only three months after publication. Its author, Maria Peagler, leveraged a knockout marketing plan to skyrocket the book’s sales, including a highly successful international blog tour, a book tour of her home state of Georgia, and a popular standing-room-only session to quilt shop owners at spring Quilt Market’s Schoolhouse in Pittsburgh, PA.
“Most authors never see their books go to a second printing, and certainly not within three months,” says Peagler. “Innovation is everything in a down economy, and I strive to be as innovative with my marketing and sales as I am with my quilts and books.”
Peagler is now offering lesson plans for a twelve-month series of Color Mastery classes and instructions for making kits for each quilt in the book. Shops can download the lesson plans at http://www.colormastery.com/quilt-shops/
Color Mastery’s website is content-rich, offering resources to help quilters be more creative and effective with color in their quilts. Peagler offers a sample chapter, color wheel chart, homeschool unit study, email newsletter with artist dates and recipes, as well as producing a new YouTube video each month. Her latest is on the New Colors for 2009/2010.
