During the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, BCLiving.ca will act as a ‘Guide to the Games’, featuring our editors' tips and advice on activities to catch in Vancouver, Richmond and Whistler. The site will offer the best of local events and city secrets, suggest TV picks, and present inspiring stories of the athletes making their mark on the world.

During the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, BCLiving.ca will act as a ‘Guide to the Games’, featuring our editors' tips and advice on activities to catch in Vancouver, Richmond and Whistler. The site will offer the best of local events and city secrets, suggest TV picks, and present inspiring stories of the athletes making their mark on the world.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Vancouver and Whistler residents to experience the Olympics first-hand”, explains Karen Foss, President of Canada Wide Media. “We wanted to make it easy for people to know what’s happening in their city and neighbourhoods so that they can take advantage of the wonderful events taking place and get involved. The site features daily tips on what to do, see and watch during 2010 including the following:

An Interactive Community

Within the BCLiving Games Guide, visitors are encouraged to participate by sharing their 2010 insights, photographs, experience and advice with others on the BCLiving site.

In tandem with the launch of the site, BCLiving.ca is hosting a story contest called “210 Words on Your 2010”. We are looking for wonderful, funny, terrible or outrageous stories that have happened to people because of the Olympics. People can share their 2010 story - in 210 words or less - on the BCLiving Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/bcliving. Each week, until February 28th, BCLiving.ca will award a prize to the best story and publish it on the site.
