The Stevie Awards named two Marketecture, Inc. employees as finalists for a pair of prestigious awards: the top sales representative and sales manager of the year. Winners will be announced on Feb. 22.
Online PR News – 21-January-2010 – – Two Marketecture, Inc. employees were recently named finalists for awards in two sales categories in the fourth annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service. The winners will be announced on Feb. 22.
Mike Sorensen is a finalist for the Sales Manager of the Year award, and Tyler Sorenson is a finalist for the Sales Representative of the Year award. John Russell, the president and COO of Marketecture, oversees the sales department, and said he could not be more pleased with them.
“Mike led his team in posting record-breaking numbers month after month in 2009,” Russell said. “He knows how to motivate his team members to take ownership of their quotas each month.”
Despite the sluggish economy, Sorensen was able to double his team’s sales revenue in 2009. His hard work led to a 300-percent jump in Marketecture’s total revenue last year. He currently holds company records for the biggest single sale amount and the highest number of consecutive days with a sale.
“Tyler is an amazing and talented sales professional,” Russell said. “What has made him our most successful sales individual in our company’s history is his commitment to his customers. He truly puts his customers’ needs before his and will help them in any way he can to achieve their goals.”
Sorenson is Marketecture’s top sales representative, and last year he managed to double his sales from 2008. In his three years with Marketecture, he has exceeded his sales quota every month, except one. That means he has a 97-percent success rate of meeting his quota, which is well above the industry average.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the Stevie Awards will announce the winners during a gala banquet on Monday, Feb. 22 at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla. Nominated customer-service and sales executives from the United States and several other countries are expected to attend.
More than 500 entries from a variety of organizations were submitted to this year’s competition. There are 27 categories for customer service professionals and 41 categories for sales professionals.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors will select Stevie Award winners from among the finalists during final judging, to take place Jan. 25 -
Feb. 3. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
