Prepare For Launch: Publishing Industry Equipped with iPhone Reader Software

Apple Inc.'s impending iPhone OS 4.0 launch date prompts publishers to use new iPhone reader software

Online PR News – 21-January-2010 – – Mesquite, Nevada – Thursday 21st January 2009: Book publishers across the US are working with a Nevada company to convert their books into novel iPhone reader software this week. The venture comes in preparation for the release of operating system version 4.0 for Apple Inc.'s leading product: the iPhone.
The iPhone publisher, known as SunScroll, is already allowing publishing companies to explore more than the standard book format. With little or no cost usually incurred to covert books into an app via the iPhone publisher, SunScroll are also able to offer their users a variety of free books. Publications available for download to all iPhone handsets include the Works of Shakespeare, the Holy Bible, Charles Dickens, 101 Classic Novels and Sherlock Holmes Classics as well as a number of others that are free of charge.
William Peart, VP of marketing, stated: "We are excited to be working with publishers, easily converting their books into our popular SunScroll reader. They can expect to reach a brand new audience for their books."
The SunScroll reader was developed in 2009, by Nevada company 'Publish This, LLC', who were intent on focusing on the small details that make iPhone reader software lifelike and enjoyable to use. One iPhone app user commented that SunScroll is "one of the best apps I've gotten so far" and "I love how the pages turn with a flick of a thumb”. The software is designed to support popular open standard ePub files, which makes it easy for those in publishing to make their books available within one iPhone app.
New iPhone publisher app – SunScroll – is available for download now; exactly one week before the release of Apple's iPhone OS version 4.0. With free books available from the SunScroll iTunes store and many publishing bodies interested in bringing their literature to new formats, this app is expected to become one of the most popular for 2010.
