Now in its second year, Ballarat Brides will showcase over 50 local exhibitors, 2 fashion parades and numerous giveaways during the day.
Online PR News – 21-January-2010 – – Ballarat Brides, the regions premier wedding expo will be held on 31st January 10am to 4pm at Mercure Ballarat. This event is popular with industry, brides-to-be, their wedding parties and parents. It is anticipated that 700 people will be in attendance to be educated by experts and source wedding suppliers to create their dream wedding.
Each visitor will receive discounts and free offers in their show bag including discounts and free memberships. Visitors can also participate in the treasure hunt where there is an opportunity to win hourly door prizes and also the major door prize of a holiday to Fiji, wedding gown or fitness package!
There are over 50 leading wedding businesses who are involved in the expo. With so many businesses under one roof this is the perfect planning event for every bride. From wedding planning, venues, decorators’, entertainers, photographers and videographers, stationers, jewellers, fashion, florists, make-up and hair, car hire, honeymoon destinations and gift registries exhibiting – there will be something to help every bride at all stages of their wedding planning.
For the first time in 2010 there will be four experts taking to the stage to talk on relevant topics including maintaining relationships, venue selection, using the internet for wedding planning and fitness for the big day and beyond. The expert’s stage has been introduced to provide an education element to the event, so brides can get some insights into how to make their day and life together with their new husband even better.
There will be two fashion parades held throughout the day at 12noon and again at 3pm, showcasing the trends in gowns for 2010 from leading designers. A selection of after 5 wear and men’s suits will also be showcased.
Another new initiative for 2010 is a partnership with Fashion Exchange, providing brides to be the opportunity of bidding on second hand wedding gowns in a silent auction. The gowns will be showcased during the day with bidding open until the close of the event. This will allow brides-to-be to still have their dream gown at a fraction of the cost. There will be a fashion parade held showcasing the dresses that are being auctioned and also some classy jewellery and accessories.
In addition to the opportunity of visitors talking to leading wedding industry suppliers there will be giant games to be played, caricatures to be drawn, rooms to visit on the Mercure property, tables decorated to view, on-site cafe and outdoor wedding decorations to admire, Vintage cars and a Hummer Limousine to be explored and dancing displays...
