Celebrate the Holiday with an All Day “Trick ‘r Treat” Marathon, “Psychoville” Halloween Special and Unnerving Films

Online PR News – 18-October-2011 – – LOS ANGELES – October 17, 2011 – FEARnet, cable television’s premier horror, thriller and suspense entertainment channel, is celebrating its favorite time of year with a special “Psychoville” Halloween episode, an all day marathon of Michael Dougherty’s “Trick r’ Treat,” and a line-up of films so unnerving viewers will be afraid to close their eyes.

On Sunday, October 30th at 9:00 p.m. ET, FEARnet will air a special Halloween episode of “Psychoville,” the award-winning British black-comedy thriller series written by and starring Reece Shearsmith (“Shaun of the Dead”) and Steve Pemberton (“The League of Gentlemen,” “Doctor Who”). In the Halloween special, four tales of terror unfold as a film crew investigates the abandoned ruins of Ravenhill Psychiatric hospital. Does the ghost of evil Governess Edwina Kenchington still walk the empty corridors?

On Halloween, FEARnet celebrates its one-year anniversary as a cable TV network with a film about the four cardinal rules of Halloween. FEARnet will air an all day marathon of “Trick ‘r Treat,” starring Anna Paquin (“True Blood”), Brian Cox (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) and Leslie Bibb (“Zookeeper”). Michael Dougherty’s Halloween must-watch has his iconic ‘Sam’ character reminding us all what the holiday is really about, as he demonstrates why you never want to break one of the rules of Halloween. The marathon starts Monday, October 31st at 10:00 a.m. ET.

To tide audiences over until the “Trick ‘r Treat” marathon begins, FEARnet and Michael Dougherty teamed up to bring genre and Halloween-lovers exclusive videos featuring the iconic ‘Sam,’ as he creates some of his famous brand of mischief. FEARnet will add additional videos throughout the next two weeks as we head into the most terrifying night of the year. You can view the videos, “Trick r’ Treat” movie stills, behind the scenes footage and production art at: http://www.fearnet.com/trickrtreat/index.html.
