A Premier Writer’s Website Welcomes a New Year With a Facelift

Defining the needs of 47,000 members can be difficult, but for FaithWriters.com those needs translate to improved site design and user experience. The recently revised website is drawing praise from users at a memorable point in the life of the organization – it’s ninth year.

Online PR News – 14-January-2010 – – Livonia, MI (PR Web) January 10th, 2010 — The launch of a revised platform for FaithWriters.com (www.faithwriters.com) brings new interest in a new year. The year 2010 marks the 9th anniversary of the well-established writer’s website and a revised look was important to owner Scott Lindsay.

Current statistics suggest the site has nearly 47,000 members and over 150,000 articles in the database. The forums host hundreds of members who seek connection and opportunity through networking.

Lindsay considered the opportunity to revise the look of FaithWriters as a means of stepping up the impact of the organization, “FaithWriters.com has been the number 1 site for Christian Writers for over 5 years now. However, we needed a facelift. Our goal was to bring FaithWriters.com into the web 2.0 era. This meant larger text, easier navigation, and a lot of cool icons. I think we accomplished our goal. It’s my hope that even more Christian writers will want to call FaithWriters their home on the web.”

Initial response has been strongly in favor of the streamlined design. FaithWriter forum members have said, “Awesome new look… Love, love it… Great start to the New Year… Wow, looks great… Thank You.”

The site features multiple free services, but has a supportive tier known as the FaithWriters 500. Those members enjoy enhanced features and writing tools while their subscription fees help maintain free services for the thousands who use FaithWriters.com on a regular basis. Lindsay said, “This upgrade serves as a testament to the ongoing commitment to writers of faith. The connections they find here have helped develop friendships, contacts and paid work.”

FaithWriters has conducted seminars in both the U.S. and Australia with a summer conference scheduled for August in Michigan.

Lindsay concludes, “There’s always expectations related to the growth of FaithWriters. I couldn’t do this work alone. Committed staff and volunteers have helped make it possible for an important milestone in our ninth year.”
