Music Lessons With A Technology Twist: TakeLessons Offers Online User Experience For Students

TakeLessons continues hiring and marketing nationwide, responding to student demand in Alameda, California, and inspiring a generation of musicians.

Online PR News – 29-September-2011 – – The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its induction nominees for 2012 on Monday, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N' Roses leading the fan favorites. Fans have been invited to cast their votes via Twitter and an online poll - proving once again the power and influence of social media.

TakeLessons (, the nation’s fastest growing private music lessons provider, has seen this influence first-hand by providing students with online tools to supplement their lessons. In response to student demand, instructors are continuing to join the program nationwide. Recently, TakeLessons announced a new hire in the Alameda, CA, area.

Jenna C. will be teaching singing, flute, songwriting and music theory to students of all ages at her home studio and also at students’ homes. Jenna will be an excellent addition to the TakeLessons roster, which features instructors nationwide who have gone through a 7-step certification process.

Jenna received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Florida State University, and is currently working toward her Master’s. While her primary focus has been on classical and orchestral music, Jenna will work with students to keep them interested, acknowledging that all students learn differently.

“Hearing a student sing or play their first full song is just as gratifying as hearing one play their first concerto,” said teacher Jenna. “The best part is seeing each one grow as a musician, and being a part of that process.”

TakeLessons takes students beyond just music lessons and offers a comprehensive user experience, with a personal online account to track scheduling, billing, and lesson journals all in one place. Current students have 24/7 access to their online accounts, and can connect with Student Counselors if they ever want to switch instructors or their lesson schedule.

Since its launch in 2006, TakeLessons has helped students pursue their passion for music by offering over 35 types of private music lessons that are taught by some of the nation’s most talented local music instructors. The hiring of a new Alameda music teacher adds to TakeLessons’ emerging presence in California, with lessons offered in other cities such as San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley. Other areas such as the Minnesota and Massachusetts music teacher rosters have been expanded recently, as well.
