Online PR News – 29-September-2011 – – 29th ,SEP ,2011 - Private Kilimanjaro is today launching its annual charity challenge which gives charity fundraisers the chance to win a free Kilimanjaro climb by coming up with the most fun idea for a charity climb. This year we are giving away four free climbs and to be eligible climbers have to commit to raise funds for the East Africa Disaster Relief.

Last year we gave away three climbs to teams from Man City who are holding a 5-a-side match on the summit, a group from London who are all climbing dressed as comic book heroes and a crazy group from Birmingham who are carrying a bobsleigh to the summit to stage a rerun of the cult film Cool Runnings.
With our day to day operations in Tanzania we are acutely aware of the tragedy that drought is creating throughout East Africa. By giving away four free climbs we hope we can encourage some great ideas to come forward that will raise some significant funding for the Disaster Emergency Committee.

Jane Deakin commented “We had the youngest Brit ever, Joseph Ayoub, summit Kilimanjaro with us last week and he raised over £3000 for the Chain of Hope charity and this week we have a group of 11 called the Mountain Muscle Warriors climbing and they have already raised over £16,000 for Muscular Dystrophy. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a great way to enjoy a life changing experience and raise money for great charities”
To stand a chance of winning a free climb, ideas for a charity climb need to be submitted at www.privatekilimanjaro.com or emailed to info@privateexpeditions.co.uk before 30th November 2011. Finalists will be announced on 1st December and voting for the winning ideas will run until 30th December 2011.
